Welcome to SnoutZone! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SnoutZone mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

    2. By clicking "I Agree," creating an account, or using SnoutZone, you confirm you are at least 13 (or the minimum legal age in your country) and can enter these Terms. If you are under the age of majority, you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission.

  2. User Accounts
    1. Account Creation:
      • You must create an account to use certain features and provide accurate, current, and complete information.
      • We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.
    2. Account Security:
      • You are solely responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
      • Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized use or security breach. SnoutZone is not liable for losses resulting from your failure to secure your account.
    3. Account Deletion:
      • You may request deletion from the app (Profile) after verifying your identity. When you confirm, your account is disabled immediately—you will not be able to sign in again.
      • We register your request with a scheduled completion date (typically within 30 days). Our team then completes permanent erasure of your data (including backups and third-party systems where feasible), unless we must retain limited information for legal, security, or fraud prevention. This mirrors common practice (e.g. grace period before hard delete).
      • To cancel before completion, contact [email protected] from your registered email as soon as possible; cancellation may not be possible if processing has already started.
  3. Sale of Products and Services
    1. Purchases:
      • Purchases are subject to availability. We may limit quantities.
      • Prices may change without notice.
    2. Payment:
      • By providing a payment method, you confirm you are authorized to use it and authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the total amount, including taxes and fees.
    3. Returns and Refunds:
      • Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days. Perishable goods and customized services may not be eligible. Contact support for instructions.
  4. Adoption Services
    1. Role of SnoutZone:
      • SnoutZone provides a platform to facilitate pet adoptions. We do not own, sell, or exercise control over the pets listed for adoption by users or third-party organizations.
      • Users must verify the health, temperament, and legal status of any pet before adoption.
    2. Health Records:
      • Sellers and shelters must provide accurate records. SnoutZone does not verify records and disclaims liability for the health or condition of adopted pets.
  5. Social Networking and User Content
    1. Feed Ranking and Personalization:
      • Your feed and recommendations may be ranked and personalized based on your activity and content interactions.
      • We use automated systems to organize content and improve the Service.
    2. User-Generated Content:
      • You keep ownership of your content; SnoutZone does not claim ownership of your content. By posting it, you grant SnoutZone a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, and sub-licensable license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, and translate it to operate and improve the Service.
      • This license covers all media and distribution methods now known or later developed and lasts until you delete your content.
      • By uploading media, you authorize SnoutZone to post, display, and distribute it on the Service, including sharing with other users and approved partners.
      • You agree SnoutZone may use your content to improve, develop, and train product features, including automated systems and machine learning, where permitted by law.
      • You represent and warrant you own or have the rights to post the content and that it does not violate third-party rights.
      • You are solely responsible for your content, including any audio, music, video, photos, characters, likenesses, names, logos, trademarks, or other third-party materials it contains, and for obtaining all required permissions.
      • SnoutZone is not responsible or liable for any audio, music, video, photos, trademarks, or other materials included in user content.
      • To the maximum extent permitted by law, you waive any moral rights or similar rights in your content.
      • SnoutZone is not responsible for any content violation or copyright infringement in user-posted media; you are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights.
    3. Music Usage Confirmation:
      • You may only use audio or music in your content if it is original, licensed for your use, or otherwise permitted by the rights holder.
      • Personal or consumer licenses (including streaming subscriptions) do not grant rights to use music in videos or other public content on SnoutZone.
      • By uploading content with audio, you confirm you have all required synchronization, master use, and performance rights.
      • SnoutZone does not provide music licenses for user content.
    4. User Representations and Warranties:
      • Your content is original or properly licensed and does not infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity, privacy, or other rights.
      • Your content complies with applicable laws and does not violate any third-party agreement.
      • SnoutZone is a passive intermediary, does not pre-screen content, and does not endorse user content.
    5. Code of Conduct and Moderation:
      • Zero Tolerance: SnoutZone has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that violates this Code of Conduct is removed, and accounts that post it may be suspended or permanently terminated without notice. We review every report we receive and act on it.
      • You may not post content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing intellectual property rights, or otherwise harmful to others.
      • Bullying, harassment, and hate speech are strictly prohibited.
      • Impersonation, spamming, and promotion of illegal services are prohibited.
      • Content Removal: We may monitor, edit, or remove any content in our sole discretion.
      • Reporting Violations: Users can report inappropriate content or behavior by contacting [email protected].
  6. Intellectual Property
    1. SnoutZone Property:
      • The SnoutZone name, logo, and all original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SnoutZone and its licensors.
      • Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of SnoutZone.
  7. Copyright (DMCA) Policy
    1. Designated Agent:
      • We will maintain a designated DMCA agent and publish contact details in the Service and on our website.
    2. Notice and Takedown:
      • We will remove or disable access to content after a valid DMCA notice and may notify the uploader.
    3. Repeat Infringer Policy:
      • We will terminate accounts of repeat infringers, which may include a three-strike policy or similar thresholds.
  8. Trademark Complaints
    1. Complaint Process:
      • Trademark owners may submit complaints to [email protected] with evidence of a valid registration and an explanation of likely confusion.
    2. Username and Profile Control:
      • We may remove or reclaim usernames, profiles, or content that infringe or imply unauthorized affiliation.
    3. Nominative Fair Use:
      • Certain uses of trademarks for commentary, review, or reference may be lawful; removal decisions are at our sole discretion.
  9. Liability and Disclaimers
    1. "As Is" Basis:
      • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
      • SnoutZone is an interactive computer service provider and is not the publisher or speaker of user content, except as required by law or for intellectual property claims.
    2. Limitation of Liability:
      • To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnoutZone and its directors, employees, or agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
      • To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnoutZone's total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to SnoutZone in the six months before the event giving rise to the claim.
    3. Indemnification:
      • You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold SnoutZone harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, including claims involving copyright, trademark, defamation, privacy, or publicity rights.
    4. Platform and Pet-Specific Disclaimers:
      • SnoutZone provides the platform "as is" and acts solely as a venue to connect users. We do not guarantee, and expressly disclaim responsibility for:
      • Pet Health: SnoutZone is not responsible for the health of pets under any circumstances. Users are solely responsible for veterinary care and any health-related decisions.
      • Adoption Agreements: SnoutZone does not ensure or take responsibility for the health, condition, or suitability of pets in adoption arrangements, nor for the conditions of any local handovers, deliveries, or private agreements between users.
      • User and Pet Behavior: SnoutZone is not responsible for the conduct of users or their pets. Animals may behave unpredictably; we are not liable for injuries, property damage, or harm caused by pets due to instinct or other factors.
      • Business Impact: SnoutZone is not liable for any damages, claims, or losses that may affect your business, reputation, or operations arising from use of the platform.
      • Additional Protections: SnoutZone does not provide veterinary, legal, or emergency services. We do not screen or verify the identity, intentions, or suitability of users. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or truthfulness of user-provided content. We are not responsible for in-person meetings, exchanges, or transactions. By using the platform, you release and indemnify SnoutZone from claims arising from adoption, lost pet features, or any offline interactions. Misrepresentation, fraud, harassment, and unlawful use are prohibited.
  10. EU/EEA Users and Article 17
    1. Notice and Best Efforts:
      • Where applicable, we will act expeditiously upon notice of infringing content and may apply reasonable technical measures to prevent re-uploads of specific works.
  11. Termination
    1. Termination by Us:
      • We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, without notice or liability, including for breaches of these Terms.
  12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
    1. Jurisdiction:
      • These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SnoutZone operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
    2. Dispute Resolution:
      • Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiations.
      • If unresolved, any legal action must be brought exclusively in the courts where SnoutZone is headquartered.
      • Class Action Waiver: You agree disputes will be handled individually, not as a class action.
  13. Updates to Terms
    1. Notification:
      • We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
  14. Child Safety Standards

    SnoutZone maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Abuse Exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to providing a safe environment. Users are strictly prohibited from uploading, sharing, or soliciting any content that endangers minors. Any such content discovered on SnoutZone will be removed immediately, the offending account will be permanently banned, and we will report the incident to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities.
